LEAD CAPTURE FAQ
I have forgotten my password.
PROBLEM: The password locks the access to the Settings view which controls
access to important features such as managing the layout, defining mandatory fields,
resetting the data and emailing the contacts collected. The idea of having a password was
to give users the option to be sensitive to how clients might fiddle with the iPad when a
booth attendant wasn't looking so data would not be destroyed or tampered with. It is secure
enough to make it onerous to crack, but not so secure to make it impossible to retrieve
SOLUTION: There are three options for you. First of all, there is no limit
to the number of times you can try your password, so take a breath and try it
again, and again. Maybe after a good night's sleep it would come back to you.
It is case-sensitive and has to be exact with what you entered and verified whever
you set the password.
One option, if you don't care about the contact details collected so far,
is to simply delete the app and reinstall it from the App Store (Apple won't ask you to pay
twice for the same App). Although it might only take a few minutes to do this,
it does delete all the user data collected.
The other option may preseve your gathered information,
but will take time and $. With this option, you contact us ahead of time
requesting a Return Authorization, mail Digital Hermosa your iPad and we will
attempt to reset your password, and return your iPad to you within a week. There is a $100
fee plus shipping for this service, payable in advance.
I get a red * on the screen every time I try to save a record. I don't think it saves it.
True, the app is not saving the content.
The red * is meant to indicate that some input fields have been determined
to be mandatory, yet the contact did not provide an answer for that particular
input field. To make the * go away, simply complete the form with all the necessary
information included, or use the Settings controller to Reset the mandatory field settings.
